Kozhikode: The police on Monday arrested two youths for allegedly smuggling synthetic drugs worth ₹50 lakh. The accused have been identified as Mohammed Irfan, 29, and M.C. Shahad, 27. According to police sources, the seized substances included 250 grams of suspected MDMA, 45 grams of suspected ecstasy drugs, and 1.5 grams of suspected LSD stamps. The two, who were reportedly running an educational consultancy at Mankavu, were travelling on an inter-State tourist bus when the drugs were allegedly found concealed inside a pressure cooker during a flash inspection. Officers from the Kasaba police station and special squad members of the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force carried out the checks.
