At least two persons lost their lives, and one woman went missing in separate rain-related incidents in Jangaon and Warangal districts on Wednesday (October 29, 2025) night due to torrential rains.

Man survives, woman missing

In Jangaon district, a young couple travelling on a motorbike was swept away in floodwaters on the outskirts of Thimmampet village in Station Ghanpur mandal. The man, identified as Barigala Siva Kumar, managed to save himself by clinging to a tree branch, while the woman, Bakka Sravya, was reported missing. Police teams have launched a search operation to trace her.

In another incident, Appani Nagendram, a private employee from Kothapalli in Hanamkonda, died after accidentally falling into a channel dug to divert floodwater into a culvert. Similarly, G. Suramma (60) died when a wall collapsed on her at Kondaparthy village in Inavole mandal.

Meanwhile, police and rescue teams evacuated passengers from Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) buses stranded in floodwaters at Upparapalli in Wardhannapet on Thursday (October 30, 2025) morning and at Raghunathpalli on the Warangal–Hyderabad highway on Wednesday night.
