Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman B.R. Naidu on Saturday announced that the temple management is set to conduct the twin Brahmotsavams this year, a unique feature occurring once in three years due to the astrological phenomenon called ‘Adhika Masam’.

The regular Brahmotsavams will be held from September 15-23, while the Navaratri Brahmotsavams will be conducted from October 12-20.

Addressing the gathering at Independence Day celebrations after hoisting the National Flag and inspecting a guard of honour from the TTD’s security sleuths on Saturday, he said comprehensive arrangements are in place to facilitate the devotees a smooth darshan.

“Serving the devotees visiting Tirumala from across the globe and preservation of Sanatana Dharma are the primary missions of the TTD. We are also committed to providing education, healthcare and religious services,” he said.

He also highlighted the ₹120 crore modern ‘Annaprasadam kitchen’ being planned with the support of donors, 32 additional electric buses to Tirumala, the ready-to-open Sri Venkateswara Museum developed with ₹145 crore to showcase 3D and 7D presentations, development of pilgrim amenities at Vontimitta, considered the ‘Ayodhya of Andhra’.

Mr. Naidu announced to speed up construction of Srivari temples in Coimbatore, Guwahati, Khammam, Belagavi, Mumbai and Bihar, while the temple at Amaravati would get a ‘Maha Gopuram’, a ‘Pushkarini’ and a ‘Vahana Mandapam’ with ₹140 crore.
