TPCC chief Mahesh Goud donates 11 acres for school, power substation in his native village

TPCC president and MLC B. Mahesh Kumar Goud donated 11 acres of his personal land for various public development works in his native village of Rahatnagar in Bhimgal mandal of Nizamabad district.

Mr. Goud said he has allocated 10 acres for the construction of an integrated school and one acre for a power sub-station as a gesture of philanthropy. He said his bond with Rahatnagar would continue till his “last breath” while responding to felicitation by the villagers.

Mr. Goud expressed gratitude to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy for sanctioning funds for the Temple Corridor project connecting Dharmapuri and Basara, passing through Rahatnagar.

The Temple Corridor route will connect Dharmapuri, Kondagattu, Vemulawada, Limbadri Gutta and finally Basara, enhancing connectivity in the region. The government has sanctioned ₹380 crore for the road, and Rahatnagar will be the central point between Karimnagar and Nizamabad.

He participated in the bhoomi puja for a new Durga Devi temple, being constructed by the Endowments Department at a cost of ₹50 lakh and emotionally recalled that his father, Bomma Gangadhar Goud, had built the earlier Durga Devi temple in the village.

Reflecting on his journey, Goud said he had never imagined becoming PCC president and credited his rise to public life to the values instilled by his parents.
