While the rest of Kerala is reeling from soaring temperatures, chilly nights and cool early mornings are driving a surge of tourists to the Munnar hill station.
According to data from the United Planters Association of South India (UPASI) Tea Research Foundation in Munnar, a low temperature of 7°C was recorded at Nallathanni, near Munnar, on Tuesday (April 28, 2026), while daytime temperatures reached 27°C. On Wednesday (April 29, 2026), the lowest temperature was recorded at 9°C in Chundavurai, with a high of 25°C.
