The Haveri district administration has made elaborate preparations for a land guarantee dedication ceremony and distribution of title deeds to more than one lakh beneficiary families at a programme to be held near B.P. Road on the outskirts of Haveri on Saturday.

The event will be organised in collaboration with the Revenue Department and will coincide with the government completing one thousand days in office. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the programme, while Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will distribute the title deeds. Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda and district in-charge Minister Shivanand Patil will also participate.

On Friday Mr. Patil visited the venue and reviewed the preparations.

According to officials, the certificates will be distributed to families living for several years without formal land records in revenue villages, hatti and thanda settlements under various schemes, including Revenue Gram, e-Pauti and Darkhast Pauti.

The beneficiaries from various regions would take part in the programme, including 5,500 from Chitradurga, 20,000 from Davangere, 10,000 from Shivamogga, and 7,000 from Chikkamagaluru and other regions, taking the total participation to over 1.23 lakh people.

Parking arrangements have been made on 94 acres. Four helipads have been prepared on eight acres, and dining arrangements have been made on 10 acres.

Officials said that tents covering about 2.76 lakh sq. ft. have been erected to accommodate over one lakh beneficiaries. Around 2,550 buses, including those of NWKRTC, KKRTC, KSRTC, private operators, and educational institutions, have been deployed to transport beneficiaries, with two nodal officers assigned to each bus.

Fifteen committees have been formed to manage various aspects of the event, including finance, law and order, stage construction, transport, sanitation, health, and beneficiary seating. For security, about 300 officers and nearly 3,000 police personnel, including Home Guards, have been deployed.

Arrangements such as 200 food counters, temporary toilets, drinking water facilities, ambulances, and emergency health services have also been put in place, the officials said.
