The 78th death anniversary of Gorantla Venkanna was conducted by the Gorantla Venkanna Trust at Timmasamudram in Prakasam district, on Monday.

Hindu Dharma Prachar Trust (HDPT) chairman Dasari Srinivasulu urged establishing coaching centres at Timmasamudram Oriental College for Sanskrit students preparing for All India Services and other competitive exams. He highlighted the importance of these centres providing opportunities that are at par with candidates from other languages. He also suggested connecting foreign (NRI) associations promoting Indian languages and cultural organisations.

Gorantla Pedaveeraiah, hereditary chairman of the trust, assured support to strengthen Sanskrit education and student development.

College principal M. Ramachandra Rao outlined challenges faced by Sanskrit students, while Mr. Srinivasulu emphasised collaboration with national research institutions, NRI associations, and cultural organisations to broaden academic exposure. Alumni and faculty were urged to actively participate in preserving Hindu Dharma.
