Thunderstorm forecast in six Telangana districts on June 4

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert predicting thunderstorms in six Telangana districts and a yellow forecast for 20 districts for Thursday (June 4, 2026).

According to IMDs latest bulletin, the orange alert was issued for Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial and Rajanna Sircilla districts.

Additionally, a yellow alert was issued for Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangaeddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts.

Hyderabad weather forecast

In Hyderabad city and its surrounding areas, a partly cloudy sky may be observed in the next 24 hours. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds are very likely to occur in parts of the city towards evening or night. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 38℃ and 28℃ respectively,” the bulletin said.

Highest temperature of 44.8℃

Meanwhile, according to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), on June 2, Garidepalle in Suryapet recorded the highest maximum temperature of 44.8℃.

This was followed by 44.7℃ in Damaracherla (Nalgonda), 43.9℃ in Penuballi (Khammam), 43.6℃ in Kuravi (Mahabubabad), 43.3℃ in Peddapalli (Peddapalli) and 43℃ in Tadvai (Mulugu) and Parvathagiri (Warangal).

In urban locations, Musheerabad in Hyderabad recorded 41.7℃, Quthbullapur in Medchal Malkajgiri recorded 40.9℃ and Serilingampally in Rangareddy recorded 40.8℃.
