THTalksBengaluru: ‘Splitting police administration pose challenges’

Responding to a proposal to split the Bengaluru City Police Commissionerate into two, Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh, speaking at #THTalksBengaluru, said that splitting police administration poses a different set of challenges.

“For instance, if there is a VIP movement across the city, then there will be jurisdictional issues that will crop up. Moreover, crime doesn’t follow jurisdictions,” he said, adding that if, however, the political leadership decided on splitting the commissionerate, they would welcome it.
