Three persons who demanded money from the Indiramma houses beneficiaries for releasing the money were suspended by the government after receiving complaints on the toll-free number 1800-599-5991.
Angoth Tulasi Bhai, an Indiramma beneficiary of Edulathanda, Nizamapet, Sangareddy district lodged a complaint that Panchayat Secretary P. Mahboob Ali demanded ₹10,000 to upload photographs of the house foundation needed for sanctioning the payment. Another complaint from Kalle Satyalu of Majidpur in Abdullapur mandal, Rangareddy district, alleged that Panchayat Secretary Raghavendra had been demanding ₹20,000 as a bribe. In Tandur mandal, Nagar Kurnool district, beneficiary Edul Bheemamma alleged that Indiramma committee member Chikkondra Mallesh, along with Edul Narayana, demanded ₹ 25,000.
The officials concerned were suspended and cases were also filed, said Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. He urged beneficiaries not to hesitate and to report any irregularities immediately on the toll-free number, and action would be taken within 24 hours. Beneficiaries can call the Indiramma Call Centre at 1800-599-5991, he said.
