The Hindu Lit For Life Treasure Hunt sees huge turnout

Despite chilly weather, Sunday saw robust participation of teams in The Hindu Lit For Life Treasure Hunt.

A total of 41 teams with two participants each went around the city identifying clues based on literature, writers, and the city’s cultural memory. They travelled to heritage and literary landmarks. 

The treasure hunt was flagged off from The Hindu office at 9.30 a.m., and the three-hour long event concluded at The Savera Hotel. Each team also received rare rubber stamps featuring iconic Chennai buildings.

Enga Area, Ulla Varadha (Sashank Balaji and Samyuktha. R) came first and received a cash prize of ₹60,000. The first runner-up Team Reading Riders (Usha Seetharam and Priya Radhakrishnan) received ₹40,000, while the second runner-up Team Lit Arcade (Varunkanth and Srinidhi) received ₹25,000. 

The event, which was curated by Vijay Prabhakar of Nexus Consulting, was a curtain-raiser to The Hindu Lit For Life 2026 that will be held on January 17 and 18 at the Lady Andal School. Gift partners for the event were LG Inspection Services, Phifer Mosquito Screens, Home Cast, Max Gold, and Electro-Magfield Controls and Services. The hospitality partner was The Savera.

The Hindu Lit For Life is presented by the all-new Kia Seltos, in association with Christ University and NITTE, Orchids – The International School.
