The Telangana government is all set to unveil major sports collaborations during the upcoming Telangana Rising Global Summit scheduled for December 8 and 9.
Among the key announcements will be the launch of two football academies in partnership with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
Significantly, the Women’s Telangana FIFA-AIFF Football Academy will be the first of its kind in India and only the second in the world after Hong Kong, marking a milestone in promoting women’s football. Additionally, the Men’s Telangana FIFA-AIFF Football Academy will become the second such facility in the country.
The event is also expected to feature another major announcement — the hosting of the Hyderabad International Chess Festival, reinforcing Telangana’s vision to emerge as a global sports hub.
