A 24-year-old youth died, and two others suffered serious injuries in what appears to be a road rage incident at Suranahalli in Holenarasipur taluk of Hasan district in Karnataka on March 2 night.

The deceased has been identified as S.K. Manu, a resident of Suranahalli. He is survived by his parents and a sister. His relatives Abhishek and Rakesh suffered injuries.

According to preliminary information, Manu and his relatives were chatting in front of their house at Suranahalli when a car passed by at high speed. Manu and Abhishek told the driver to slow down, as the vehicle was passing through a residential locality.

The driver allegedly took a U-turn and drove the vehicle at the trio. Manu died on the spot while the two others suffered injuries. The driver fled after hitting the trio.

Holenarasipur police visited the spot.
