Directions were issued to Electoral Registration Officers (ERO) to conduct extensive awareness programs on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in urban pockets of Telangana, with a focus on slum areas, high-rise buildings and gated communities. Enumeration forms will be made available in both English and Telugu to facilitate the process.

As part of the SIR process, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will conduct house-to-house visits in the State from June 25 to July 24, 2026.

At a review meeting held in Hyderabad on Tuesday (May 26, 2026), Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C. Sudharshan Reddy directed officials to conduct the process in a transparent and error-free manner.

EROs were directed to provide adequate training to BLOs as they play a key role in the process, and to continuously review the quality of work done by them, providing additional handholding support wherever necessary to speedup the mapping process.

Additional CEO Vasam Venkateswar Reddy; Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner & District Election Officer (DEO) of Hyderabad R.V. Karanan, and Medchal-Malkajgiri Collector & DEO M. Manu Choudary participated in the meeting.
