Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Monday (November 3, 2025), soon after the lorry-bus accident in Chevella mandal, Rangareddy district, announced that apart from the ₹5 lakh ex-gratia from the Telangana government, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) would pay an additional ₹2 lakh ex gratia to the deceased’s next of kin.

Mr. Prabhakar’s office stated that he visited hospitals in the area and interacted with doctors. The Minister is closely coordinating with authorities, including the police, Transport Department and the TGSRTC. He underscored that no stone would be left unturned to help the victims and their families. The road accident has been taken seriously and all relief would be provided, he said.
