Telangana GP Polls 2025 | 2,975 nominations received for Sarpanch posts under second phase on first day

On Sunday (November 30) — the first day of nominations for the second phase Telangana Gram Panchayat Elections-2025 — 2,975 nominations were received for 4,332 Sarpanch posts and 3,608 for 38,342 Ward Member posts. The last date is (5 p.m.) on Tuesday and the number of people who will file the nominations could surge on the last day as was seen during the first phase of elections. 70% of the total 25,654  nominations for the 4,236 Sarpanch posts and 85% of 82276 for the 37,440 Ward Member posts under the first phase were filed on Saturday — which was the last date, and nominations were not received for a few GPs and Wards.
