The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday (July 22, 2026) conducted simultaneous searches at 15 locations linked to a Deputy Engineer of Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited after registering a disproportionate assets case against him for allegedly possessing wealth beyond his known sources of income.

The official, identified as Muthyam Venkataramana, is serving as a deputy engineer.

The raids are being carried out at the official’s residences, office premises and the houses of his relatives across the State. Investigators are scrutinising financial records, bank transactions and documents relating to land and other immovable properties to verify the allegations.

The searches follow the registration of a disproportionate assets case against the deputy engineer.

The raids were continuing at the time of reporting, and further details are awaited.
