A 16-year-old Junior Intermediate student, Sompalli Venkata Raveendra (16), died on the spot after his head struck a pillar at a toll plaza counter while he was travelling in APSRTC bus on the national highway.
Mummudivaram Circle Inspector M. Mohan said: “The incident occurred when he put his head out of the bus window at the Annampalli toll plaza in Mummidivaram mandal, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema district.”
The deceased is native of Lakshmidevi Lanka village in Mummudivaram mandal. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
