The TDP’s two-day Mahanadu 2026 conducted virtually from its central office in Mangalagiri on Wednesday emerged as a large-scale demonstration of grassroots digital mobilisation and technology-led organisational management, and one of its striking features was the setting of a timer for the leaders, including Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, to complete their speeches.

Mr. Naidu had a 45-minute slot to convey the presidential message to lakhs of leaders and cadres who participated virtually, as it was decided to hold the conclave in a hybrid mode to save the expenditure that would be incurred especially on fuel prices, in response to a call by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be austere in resource management to mitigate the impact of the West Asia war.

The TDP conceptualised the hybrid architecture under the guidance of TDP national working president and IT Minister Nara Lokesh to make participation more inclusive, scalable and cost-efficient, while enabling real-time engagement from across the State.

More than seven lakh cadres participated through a combination of physical attendance and digitally connected cluster centres established across A.P., according to a party release, which said 1,875 digitally connected Mahanadu clusters were set up across the State.

The party also deployed a GPS-enabled digital invitation system integrated through the MyTDP platform, through which the cadres reportedly received personalised invitations that automatically mapped them to their nearest participation centre using geolocation technology.

At the heart of the hybrid Mahanadu model was a central command-and-control centre established to monitor and coordinate the State-wide event in real time. The party deployed thousands of booth-level and constituency-level volunteers as local digital anchors trained to assist cadres with app onboarding, QR-based attendance systems, streaming access and troubleshooting at the cluster centres.
