Tamil Nadu Class 12 board exam results: How to check?

The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu announced results of the Class 12 examination on Friday (May 8, 2026) at 9.30 a.m. Students can access their Class 12 results on the official websites tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in now. The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations will also make the results available on DigiLocker.

How to check Class 12 results online

Students can view and download their provisional marksheets by visiting the official websites. Here are steps on how to do it:

1. Visit tnresults.nic.in or dge.tn.gov.in

2. Click on the link titled “HSE(+2) Results” on the homepage

3. Enter the registration number and date of birth in the prescribed format

4. Submit the details to view the result

5. Download and save the provisional marksheet for future reference

Class 12 results via WhatsApp

In a first for the State, students can check their HSE results through WhatsApp with the support of the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency. Students should save the number +91-7845252525 on their mobile phones and send a “Hi” message. They will then be prompted to select the relevant department and examination category, after which they must enter their registration number and date of birth. The results will be delivered directly to their phones.

Check results on DigiLocker

Students can also access and download their Class 12 marksheets through DigiLocker. Follow these steps:

1. Open the DigiLocker app or visit the official website

2. Sign in using the registered mobile number and one-time password

3. New users will need to create an account

4. Go to the “Issued Documents” or “Education” section

5. Select the Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu

6. Click on “HSE +2 Result 2026”

7. Enter the registration number and date of birth

8. Submit the details to access the digital marksheet

9. The marksheet can be downloaded, saved or printed for future use.
