5-year-old, under treatment for physical abuse, goes missing from Victoria hospital

A five-year-old boy under treatment at Victoria Hospital for physical abuse has gone missing from the hospital.

According to a police complaint lodged at the Vishvesharapuram Police Station, the boy, identified as Yashas, was allegedly assaulted by his mother, Sushmitha, at their residence in Vidyaranyapura on April 11. The mother is accused of punishing the boy with a heated spoon, causing injuries to his legs. The incident came to light when the child’s father returned home later that night and found him in distress.
