Booth Level Officers (BLOs) distributing Voter Information Slips in Chennai on April 12, 2026

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has commenced the distribution of Voter Information Slips (VIS) also known as booth slips across Tamil Nadu, ahead of the April 23 Assembly election.

According to the ECI, there are 5.73 crore electors in 38 districts of Tamil Nadu and over 75,000 polling booths are being set up across the State for the April 23 election scheduled for electing members to 234 seats in Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.
