The Indian Institute of Educational Theatre (IIET), Mysuru, is organising a special lecture titled “Kannada’s Contribution to Shaping Indian Theatre” on November 5 at 6 p.m. at the Hardwick School campus on JLB Road in Mysuru.

The lecture will be delivered by Ravindra Tripathi, a critic from Delhi, known for his insights into Indian theatre and cultural studies. The session will highlight the remarkable contributions of eminent personalities such as Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay, Adya Rangacharya, B.V. Karanth, M.S. Sathyu, Girish Karnad, and others who have enriched and influenced the broader canvas of Indian theatre, according to a press release.

The lecture, which will be conducted in English, will be moderated by veteran theatre director Prasanna, adding further depth to the discussion. Theatre enthusiasts, students, and art lovers can attend the lecture. For more information, contact: 9448871815.
