Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who attended former Minister P. Palaniappan’s family wedding in Dharmapuri district on Sunday (December 14, 2025), urged the DMK cadre to take the achievements of the Dravida model government to every household in the State and convert them into votes.

The Chief Minister said at the wedding that through the Vellum Tamil Pengal programme held in Chennai on Saturday (December 13), the Dravida model government has ensured that an additional 17 lakh women receive monthly assistance under the Kalaingar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme. If any eligible woman has not benefited, they should appeal for the assistance. The assistance provided under the scheme will increase. On the same day (Saturday), a Reserve Bank of India report said that Tamil Nadu recorded the highest GSDP growth in the country, the Chief Minister added.

“In the midst of many troubles, the Dravida model government has achieved this. On the other side, Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is going on. The DMK cadre is working tirelessly to ensure our voting rights. Half the work is only over now, and until the announcement of the 2026 election results, we have work. The DMK will come to power for the seventh time, and the development of Tamil Nadu will continue,” he added.

Speaking at the function, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) leader Thol. Thirumavalavan said that in the upcoming 2026 elections, the DMK alliance should win massively in the 2026 Assembly elections to save Tamil Nadu from the danger surrounding the Tamil land and the Tamil language.

Though the victory of the DMK and its alliance is ensured, many are conspiring to disturb it. The Dravidian movements, VCK, and left parties are fighting against the conspirators. But in the Parliament, Union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed that they (the NDA alliance) will win in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Everyone should understand on what basis Mr. Shah said so.

“We cannot ignore this claim. The NDA captured power in Bihar and now captured the Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation. The NDA is trying to use vote theft to win, even though the BJP does not have booth-level agents. In Tamil Nadu, the DMK has full strength at the booth level and has appointed booth-level agents. No other party has this strength. In the past also the Chief Minister defeated the conspiracy of enemies,” Mr. Thirumavalavan added.

Communist Party of India (CPI) former State secretary R. Mutharasan said that a few people in Tamil Nadu claim they are going to be the Chief Minister themselves. “The election alliance may come and go. From the 1967 assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, no alliance continued for more than a year. However, the present DMK alliance has been in place for the past 10 years, which is a significant achievement. In the 2026 assembly elections, the DMK alliance will win, and Mr. Stalin will become Chief Minister again,” Mr. Muthurasan added.
