S.S. Sivasankar, Transport Minister of Tamil Nadu, met Karnataka’s Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy at the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) Central Office on Monday.

During the meeting, the two Ministers held discussions on issues concerning the transport sector. “The interaction provided an opportunity to share views on inter-state transport operations, administrative coordination, and matters of mutual interest related to public transport services,” Mr. Reddy said.

He added that the meeting reflected continued cooperation between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu in addressing transport-related challenges and improving services for commuters.

Award for KSRTC

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has been honoured with the Grow Care India National Environment Excellence Award–2025, securing the Gold Category in the Transport Sector for its effective implementation and management of eco-friendly initiatives.

The award ceremony was held on January 17 in New Delhi. According to officials, the award recognises KSRTC’s sustained efforts towards environmental responsibility, including measures aimed at reducing emissions, promoting sustainable transport practices, and improving overall environmental performance across its operations.
