The State Board of Secondary Education on Saturday announced a change in the schedule of the Secondary School Certificate public examinations to be held in March 2026.

In a statement, Director of Government Examinations K. V. Srinivasulu Reddy said the third language English examination, originally scheduled for March 20, 2026 Friday, has been postponed by a day and will now be conducted on March 21, 2026 Saturday. The change was necessitated as March 20 coincides with Id ul Fitr Ramzan, as per the list of general holidays notified by the government.

Mr. Reddy said students, parents, teachers, headmasters, Mandal Educational Officers, District Educational Officers and Regional Joint Directors should take note of the revised date. He clarified that there is no change in the schedule of any other examination and the remaining papers will be held as per the timetable already released.

According to the revised timetable, the First Language Group A and First Language Paper I Composite Course examination will be held on March 16, followed by the Second Language paper on March 18. The English examination will now be conducted on March 21. Mathematics is scheduled for March 23, Physical Science on March 25, Biological Science on March 28 and Social Studies on March 30. First Language Paper II Composite Course and OSSC Main Language Paper I in Sanskrit, Arabic and Persian will be held on March 31, while OSSC Main Language Paper II in Sanskrit, Arabic and Persian and SSC Vocational Course Theory examination will be conducted on April 1, 2026.

Mr. Reddy said all academic course subjects and papers are common for candidates of both the SSC Academic Course and the OSSC Course.
