The T-CHIP Semicon Constitution Summit 2025, held in Hyderabad on September 27 and 28, concluded with outcomes that are set to shape the future of India’s semiconductor ecosystem. The two-day summit brought together global leaders, Indian policymakers, academia and industry to draft the first-ever ‘Semiconductor Constitution’, a guiding framework to build a holistic ecosystem across Talent, Design, Manufacturing and Applications.

The inaugural session was graced by IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, Member of Parliament Eatala Rajender, Deputy Speaker Banda Prakash and former IT Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah, who underlined Telangana’s role as a launchpad for India’s semiconductor revolution.

A key highlight was the signing of 18 MoUs with leading universities and colleges across Telangana, committing to align with T-CHIP’s Four-Pillar Strategy. These pacts aim to integrate semiconductor training into curricula, set up design labs and create opportunities for faculty and students to participate in global research and innovation networks.

Sundeep Kumar Makthala, Chairman of T-CHIP, said, “With 18 universities stepping forward, global leaders lending their voice, and India’s own IIT Hyderabad showcasing its chip, we have proven that the Semiconductor Constitution is not just an idea, it is now a movement. Telangana is the launchpad, but the mission is for India and the world.”
