Vizianagaram Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy on Thursday (October 23, 2025) said Super GST-Super Savings awareness campaign caught the attention of everyone with the concerted efforts of district administration, GST Department and Chamber of Commerce and others.

Speaking to media, he said the Union and State Governments’ initiative on reduction of tax slabs had benefited people with the significant drop in prices of all essential goods, consumer products, two wheelers, cars and other products.

According to him, special exhibition organised for two weeks at Maharaja Music College premises enabled consumers to buy various products including readymade garments, solar products, automobile and electronic goods. The brisk economic activity is expected to continue till Sankranti festival season in Vizianagaram which is one of the biggest trade centres in North Andhra region.

Vizianagaram Chamber of Commerce President Kapuganti Srinivas thanked the district administration for extending its full support to trade bodies to organise exhibitions to highlight reduction of taxes on almost all category products. He hoped that the district markets might witness brisk business activity in future too as people had understood that all products were available at affordable rates. GST officials decided to continue the awareness programmes in remote areas so that the villagers would also get the benefits of tax relaxations.
