Student held with 200 gm of suspected MDMA

In a major drug haul, the police have seized 400 grams of suspected MDMA from a 21-year-old student near the Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery. Sivasankar, a native of Kayamkulam, was arrested by the Nedumbassery police and the Ernakulam rural anti-narcotics squad while allegedly waiting to sell the substance to his clients.

The police said the suspected synthetic drug was concealed in three packets and kept on Sivasankar’s bike. The seized item was estimated to cost over ₹10 lakh and the arrested peddler was suspected to be a part of a larger network, the police said in a release.
