Student drowns in flooded quarry

A nursing student drowned in a flooded quarry in Kanaginahal in Gadag district on Saturday.

Aditya, 24, a student of Gadag Institute of Medical Sciences, drowned in a 20 ft. deep pond formed by a quarry that was filled with rainwater.

The body was fished out on Sunday. A case has been registered at the Mundaragi police station.
