Check out the companies making headlines after the bell : United Airlines — Shares rose about 1% evenafter the airline posted disappointing guidance for its current quarter and full year as rising fuel prices pressure its outlook. United expects 2026 adjusted earnings of between $7 and $11 per share, down from prior guidance of between $12 and $14 per share. The company also expects adjusted earnings for its current quarter to come in the range of $1 to $2 per share, lower than FactSet’s $2.08 estimate. However, the company’s first-quarter earnings and revenue both beat expectations. The company’s adjusted earnings of 60 cents per share were in line with expectations. Chubb — The insurance stock lost 1% despite Chubb posting first-quarter core operating earnings of $6.82 per share, beating the expected $6.60, according to FactSet.
