Kancheepuram district sees over 87% polling

Voting was by and large peaceful in Kancheepuram District with four constituencies of Alandur, Uthiramerur, Sriperumbudur and Kancheepuram going to polls on Thursday. 

By 6 p.m. the district with 12,07,757 voters had polled 87.39% meaning 10,22,414 had inked their finger to choose their right candidate. Alandur had polled 86.15%, Sriperumbudur 86.14%, Uthiramerur 90.64% and Kancheepuram 87.15%
