State-level FLN orientation programme held for school complex headmasters

The Telangana School Education Department and Samagra Shiksha organised a State-level one-day orientation programme for school complex headmasters on academic activities here, with a focus on leading Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN)transformation through leadership, mentoring and community partnership.

About 1,800 school complex headmasters participated and interacted with senior officials.

Principal Secretary (Education) Yogitha Rana emphasised regular inspection, continuous follow-up and timely action to address gaps. She encouraged headmasters to exercise autonomy, take need-based decisions and strengthen academic support for teachers and students.

Director, School Education, E. Naveen Nicolas, urged headmasters to be self-driven and proactive academic leaders, stressing the need to improve learning outcomes, attendance and public confidence in government schools.

The various sessions covered on the day were FLN remediation, assessments, digital learning, community engagement, enrolment, retention, PM SHRI, Samagra Shiksha and school visits.
