Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Wednesday issued a stern warning to the State government, stating that the party, along with private college managements and students, would lay siege to the Secretariat if the government fails to immediately clear all pending fee reimbursement arrears. He declared that no Minister would be allowed to exit the premises until the dues are paid in full.

Addressing a series of election rallies in the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency, Mr. Rao accused the Congress government of repeatedly failing to clear the arrears despite multiple deadlines. He cautioned the administration against jeopardizing the future of students.

Mr. Rao reminded the public that the Revanth Reddy-led government had promised to release ₹500 crore every month towards fee reimbursement. However, the government has proven to be ‘incompetent’, unable to fulfill its assurances even after issuing multiple payment tokens.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Rao participated in a ‘padayatra’ that began at Yadgirinagar Kaman, near SGB School in Venkalrao Nagar division, where he interacted with residents through door-to-door visits. He was warmly welcomed by locals and BJP workers, and appealed for support for BJP candidate Lankala Deepak Reddy. Mr. Rao said the enthusiastic response from citizens reflects growing public dissatisfaction with the Congress government.

In a separate media interaction and election meetings, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and former State party chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar, also warned of serious consequences if the State government fails to release pending dues under both the Aarogyasri Health Scheme and the fee reimbursement programme. He accused the ruling party of using commissions as a pretext to delay payments and expressed concern over funds allegedly being diverted to the Congress High Command to support election campaigns in Bihar for the Assembly polls there.
