The outlawed CPI (Maoist) Central Committee, in a purported letter issued in the name of official spokesperson Abhay, termed the recently surrendered two Central Committee members — Mallojula Venugopal Rao alias Sonu and Ashanna alias Satish — as “traitors.”

In the letter bearing the name of ‘Abhay’ circulated on social media, the apex decision making body of the banned outfit accused Sonu and Satish of ‘betraying’ the revolutionary movement by surrendering themselves before the security forces along with weapons belonging to ‘revolutionary people.’

Meanwhile, police sources said that the authenticity of the letter doing rounds on social media was yet to be ascertained.
