Sri Venkateswara University Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (SVU RUSA) CEO Vamsi Krishna Rayala advised students to shape startup ideas to meet international standards at the ‘Capacity Building Programme on Entrepreneurship & Startup Development – From Idea to Execution’.

The week-long special training programme was held at Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) Kakutur campus in SPSR Nellore district, on Thursday. Mr. Vamsi Krishna gave valuable insights on the importance of startups, strategies to turn business ideas into executable plans, and opportunities available in the industrial sector.

“A good idea alone is not enough for a startup to succeed, the students must understand key aspects such as market research, financial planning, risk management, product validation, and customer feedback,” he said, explaining various incubation supports, funding schemes, startup grants, and mentorship opportunities provided by the government and private organisations for entrepreneurs.

The SVU RUSA CEO underlined that courage, continuous learning, networking, and strong technical knowledge play an important role in overcoming challenges in the startup journey. Students actively participated by asking questions on startup initiation, business models, and communicating with investors, to which Mr. Rayala responded with detailed explanations.

Speaking on the occasion, VSU Vice-Chancellor Allam Srinivasarao said that such capacity-building programmes were essential for shaping an idea into a successful business. He encouraged students to explore new entrepreneurial opportunities by utilising their creativity and skills instead of depending solely on traditional job roles.

He further said that market understanding, clear planning, teamwork, and continuous innovation were crucial for achieving success in startups. He assured that the university would provide complete support to foster entrepreneurial thinking among students and added that students who come up with promising startup ideas would be provided financial assistance and encouragement.
