Start-ups, investors, industry to meet at IIT Palakkad innovation summit

Indian Institute of Techonology (IIT) Palakkad’s Technology Innovation Foundation (TECHIN) will host a technology innovation meet at Thiruvananthapuram on October 29 and 30. Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan will inaugurate the meet named SAMAGRA 2.0: IIT Palakkad Innovation Summit 2026 at Hyatt Regency. Industries and IT Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty will be the guest of honour.

The summit will focus on new ideas and technologies in water and sanitation, medical technology, agriculture and food technology, and deep technology. The event will give start-ups an opportunity to meet potential customers and investors, explore markets, seek funding and connect with government agencies and other support organisations.

The summit will also showcase research projects and technologies developed at IIT Palakkad. The projects will be presented for possible use by industry and further development into commercial products. More than 500 participants, 40 selected start-ups and 30 speakers are expected to attend. The summit will also feature more than 100 one-to-one meetings involving start-ups, investors, industry representatives and researchers.

The programme will include a start-up expo, technology showcases, plenary sessions and investor pitching sessions. Registration is available at samagra.techin-iitpkd.org.
