The flight timings of Star Air services between Kalaburagi and Bengaluru, scheduled to commence on June 10, have been revised from evening operations to a morning schedule following representations made by the Kalyana Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKCCI).

According to a press release issued by KKCCI president Sharanabasappa M. Pappa and honorary secretary Shivaraj V. Inginshetty, the Bengaluru-Kalaburagi flight will leave Bengaluru at 6.30 a.m. and arrive in Kalaburagi at 7.40 a.m., while the return flight from Kalaburagi will leave at 8.10 a.m. and reach Bengaluru at 9.20 a.m.

The services will operate daily.

KKCCI said that Star Air authorities revised the schedule after considering regional demand and repeated requests made by the chamber for convenient morning flight connectivity between the two cities.

The chamber stated that it has consistently represented before Star Air and the authorities concerned regarding the need for morning flights for the benefit of business travellers, industrialists, students, patients and the general public of the Kalyana Karnataka region.

At the same time, KKCCI has urged the airline to introduce evening flight services in addition to the morning schedule in view of the growing passenger demand and increasing importance of the Kalaburagi-Bengaluru sector.

The chamber also expressed the hope that additional flight frequencies and connectivity to other major cities will be introduced in the future under the Central government’s UDAN scheme with the support of the State government.
