DMK president and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi are unlikely to share the stage during the campaign for the upcoming Assembly election in Tamil Nadu, DMK organisation secretary R.S. Bharathi said on Friday (April 17, 2026).

Speaking to reporters at Anna Arivalayam, the DMK headquarters in Chennai, Mr. Bharathi, while responding to a question on Mr. Gandhi’s campaign schedule in Tamil Nadu, where he is set to tour Ponneri, Sholinghur, and Thuraiyur on Saturday (April 18), said Mr. Stalin’s tour programme had already been fixed.
