At least 8 people injured in Level-1 fire in Mumbai’s Andheri

At least eight people were injured in the fire that occurred in Mumbai’s Andheri on Thursday (June 11, 2026).

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the fire incident occurred at Manisha Building near Arogya Nidhi Hospital in Juhu, Andheri West, and was confined to the AC unit on the 6th floor of the 11 storey building.

BMC has declared it a level-1 fire that started around 7:53 a.m. and was controlled by 11:30 a.m. The police, fire brigade, Adani Electric Distribution Company, ward staff, PWD and ambulance were deployed to the site immediately, according to the BMC. 

The injured were sent to Bharati Arogya hospital. According to the hospital authority, eight people got injured and are all in stable condition.
