SRM University-AP to host 50th All-India Sociological Conference from December 28

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Easwari School of Liberal Arts, SRM University-AP in Amaravati will organise the 50th All India Sociological Conference, an annual event of the Indian Sociological Society, from December 28, 2025.

A statement released on Friday by the SRM University-AP management said the three-day conference will be on the theme “Mobilities and Inequalities: Shifting Contexts; Changing Paradigms.” The conference will be attended by eminent sociologists, researchers and students from India and abroad. They will reflect on how movement, technology, policy and social structures shape daily life. Discussions will range from migration, labour, caste, gender, health and education to digital transformations, climate change, mobility justice and public policy.

Over the course of three days, participants will engage in plenary sessions, memorial lectures honouring leading scholars, and technical presentations across multiple research committees.
