Following reports of some devotees getting cheated after booking accommodation at Srisailam through fake websites, the Srisailam temple management had asked devotees to book rooms or darshan tickets only through the temple official website.
Srisailam temple Trust Board Chairperson Pothukunta Ramesh Naidu and Executive Officer M Srinivasa Rao, in a statement on Monday (November 24), asked the devotees to book accommodation, or arjitha seva, Sparsha Darshanam, Sheegra Darshan, Athisheegra Darshan or any other ticket online only through Endowment department website www.aptemples.ap.gov.in or temple website www.srisailadevasthanam.org.
They asked devotees not to transfer money to any individual’s Phonepe or Googlepay account while booking a ticket or room online. “If any one asks for depositing or transferring money during booking a room or a seva, consider it as a cyber crime,” they said and asked devotees not to believe in fake websites.
