The event features an inter-school competition, nurturing scientific curiosity and mathematical talent among students. It also provides a platform for students with innovative ideas on science concepts to showcase their talent.

The competition starts at 9 a.m. and is open for students from Shivamogga district.

Guidelines for Science Fest

A team should include two students from Class 6 to Class 10. There is no entry fee. Any bona fide team from a school can participate by sending an e-mail to mlrcir@thehindu.co.in. Teams must report at the venue by 8.30 a.m. on the day.

Students participating in the festival will have to demonstrate innovative, cost-effective working model projects under the Make in India concept.

The winner will receive a cash prize, trophy, and merit certificate. The first and second runners-up will get cash prizes, trophies and certificates.

All participants get participation certificates.

Guidelines for Ramanujan Spark Quest

Each school can nominate five students each from Classes 6 to 10. Participants have to answer 50 questions in one hour, and total marks are 200.
