Visakhapatnam district administration will conduct special Aadhaar Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) camps across village and ward secretariats from May 12 to 15 and May 19 to 22 to facilitate biometric updates for children. District officials said nearly 57,900 children in the district were due for the update. Parents have been advised to bring eligible children to the nearest camp for biometric authentication. Aadhaar enrolment operators, ESD operators and other staff will supervise the process at the camps. Officials said that the failure to complete the Mandatory Biometric Update within the stipulated period could affect Aadhaar-related services. Details regarding the camps are available on the district website, visakhapatnam.ap.gov.in.
