A 25-year-old man surrendered to the police after allegedly killing his mother by slitting her throat at Kolakkad in Kelakam on Friday (April 25, 2026) night.

The victim, Geethamma(50), wife of Thankachan, was found dead at her house at Thannikunnu Muthathiparambil, following the incident reported around 10:30 p.m. Police said the accused, her son Christy, reached the Kelakam police station and surrendered after the crime.
