Six Maoists have been killed reportedly in an exchange of fire between Maoists and security forces on Tuesday (November 18, 2025) along the Pamuleru stream in Papikonda National Park in Andhra Pradesh’s Alluri Sitarama Raju district.

The incident occurred while police personnel were engaged in combing operation near Nellooru village in Maredumilli Mandal in the early hours of Tuesday.

Sources said that the slain Maoists likely included top leader and Central Committee Madvi Hidma, and his wife Raje alias Rajakka. However, identities are yet to be confirmed, the police said.

“At least six Maoists have been killed in an exchange of fire in the early hours of Tuesday (November 18),” Alluri Sitarama Raju District Superintendent of Police Amit Bardar told The Hindu.
