The Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam in Simhachalam, Visakhapatnam will go fully cashless soon, the temple administration introducing digital services and cashless payments for devotees.
In a statement on Monday (May 25, 2026), the temple’s Executive Officer Jallepalli Venkata Rao urged pilgrims to use the new digital services for a smoother visit. To cut waiting times, the Devasthanam has put the booking of darshan, prasadam and arjitha seva tickets on several digital channels.
Mobile phone rules
The Executive Officer also spoke about the mobile phone deposit counters. Pilgrims have been asked to buy all their service and darshan tickets on their phones before handing over the devices at the deposit counters.
The administration has put up QR codes across the temple complex. Devotees can scan them to pay for every service..
Mr. Venkata Rao appealed to devotees to cooperate with the temple staff during the transition and use the cashless facilities.
Digital channels
Pilgrims can use the cashless facilities through four main channels: the official Devasthanam website, for advance booking of darshan and accommodation; the ‘Manamitra’ mobile app, for ticketing, updates and digital payments; on-site self-service kiosks across the temple for ticket vending; and QR code points at major counters for payments.
