Silk India, an exhibition and sale showcasing the rich heritage of India’s handloom, handicraft and textile traditions, which has brought together master weavers, artisans and craftsmen from across the country, has received good response in Hubballi.

Being held at Hotel Naveen in Hubballi, the exhibition has products from across the country displayed in over 100 stalls.

The exhibition has an impressive range of ethnic and traditional silk saris, cotton handloom products, dress material, stoles, dupattas and lifestyle products.

Special attractions include Karnataka handloom collections, tie-and-dye dress materials, Odisha saris, West Bengal cotton saris, Tangail weaves and a variety of regional textile traditions from across the country.

Apart from textiles, the exhibition features a wide array of handcrafted products, including silver jewellery, Kundan and Meenakari jewellery and gemstones.

The exhibition highlights the creativity and craftsmanship of rural artisans who continue to preserve India’s rich cultural heritage through traditional weaving and handicraft techniques while adapting them to contemporary lifestyles.
