The Kerala State Human Rights Commission has directed the Kannur City Police Commissioner to complete an investigation within a week into the allegations raised by the family of a first-year BDS student who died at a dental college in Kannur.

The Commission has also issued a directive asking the Kannur City Police Chief to submit a detailed report amid claims that the student had faced caste-based harassment and humiliation from a faculty member at Kannur Dental College.
