Jana Sena Party (JSP) leader Kalyanam Shiva Srinivas took charge as the Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Police Housing Corporation at the A.P. Police Housing headquarters at Mangalagiri on Monday.
Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, MLC Pidugu Hari Prasad, Housing Corporation Managing Director M. Ravi Prakash and others were present.
Mr. Srinivas said that projects worth about ₹1,200 crore were in the pipeline and the A.P. Police Housing Corporation will take up the works soon.
He thanked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan for giving him the opportunity.
Ms. Anitha said the Greyhounds headquarters will be built at a cost of ₹412 crore, and the A.P. Police Academy will be built with ₹300 crore.
Infrastructure will be developed for the police in the newly created districts, she said.
Ravi Prakash, Police Housing Corporation Chief Engineer; Venu Gopala Raju, General Manager (Finance); L. Seetarama Raju and other officers congratulated the new Chairman.
